Saudi Arabia and Yemen explore the interconnection of power networks between the two countries

On December 29, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, and Abdullah Al-Akwa, Minister of Electricity and Energy of Yemen, met to discuss the electricity network between the two countries.

According to the Saudi news agency SPA reported that the meeting discussed how the two countries to promote bilateral cooperation, as well as the two power networks between the implementation of the interconnection mechanism.

In addition to the power grid, the two sides discussed cooperation in training, research and consulting, and prospects for cooperation in the field of renewable energy.

Join connection of electricity power network also means two of the country must follow the same standard to reduce the cost of power infrastructure including transmission lines main and secondary, transform substation and terminal service applications.
