The new power plant put into operation Iran's national power generation approaching 78GW
According to the Iranian daily newspaper, as of now, the national power generation has reached 77,987 MW.
The report said that in the past month, the first phase of construction of two combined-cycle power plants has been put into operation, adding 320 MW of electricity to the national grid.
In addition, a distributed power station was put into operation, with installed capacity of 61 MW.
Iran's Department of Energy said that an increase in domestic power generation will help to meet the growing demand for electricity. At the same time, Iran will also expand its foreign electricity exports and increase its power trade with neighboring countries through the newly added cross-border transmission lines.
