India transmission project is expected to put into operation

India's State Grid Corporation recently released earnings report, 2017-18 fiscal year, the value of Rs 300 crore transmission project is expected to put into operation.

According to State Grid's second-quarter earnings (July-September), net profit rose 14.4% to Rs. 214.1 billion (slightly above Bloomberg's estimated Rs 21.29 billion.

Among them, the commissioning of the transmission project scale reached a total of 135 billion rupees, more than previously estimated 91 billion rupees.

IS Jha, Chairman of National Grid Corporation of India, said: "The performance of the second quarter of this fiscal year further demonstrated that we are able to meet the target of putting into operation the 300 billion rupee transmission project this fiscal year."

In order to further improve the construction of domestic power transmission infrastructure, State Grid Corporation of India and Uttar Pradesh Transmission Company established a joint venture to jointly invest 40 billion rupees to build transmission projects. In addition, the company has formed a joint venture with Bihar Transmission Company, adding Rs 200 crore for the construction of transmission lines.

Not only that, the state grid company in India is still greatly improving the railway electrification facilities. India's National Railways is expected to complete 30,000 km of railway electrification by 2021-2022. As of now, India's State Grid Corporation has received 786 km of railway line electrification engineering orders. It is estimated that in the next two quarters, more than 2,000 km of railway electrification orders will be obtained.

According to reports, the State Grid Corporation of India plans to achieve this fiscal year accumulative total of 20,000 km of transmission lines put into operation, the total size of 3,000 rupees.
