Collusion bidding behavior Pakistani three companies were disqualified

In a bid for Pakistani electricity project financed by the World Bank, three companies were disqualified for their collusion.

Pak Elektron Ltd. (PEL) in Lahore and its affiliated companies PEL Marketing and Kohinoor Power and Abdul Waheed Butt are not eligible to participate in World Bank-funded projects for a period of 33 months.

Pakistan's power project aims to strengthen the transmission and distribution network to better meet the growing demand and increase power capacity.

A survey found that the three companies will decide in advance which of these win a particular contract while setting quotes for different tenders funded by the World Bank.
