Brazilian central power company Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras (also known as Eletrobras) plans to sell some of the domestic transmission line assets.
At present, the news has been confirmed by Antônio Resende Faria, chief executive of the Brazilian central power company.
Brazilian local transmission company Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica (Taesa) subsequently announced that "ready to participate in the bidding of domestic transmission lines."
Taesa is planning to expand its transmission network in Brazil through acquisitions.
In addition, Taesa also plans to acquire some of the original power assets belonging to the Abingo Group in Brazil, and is currently conducting due diligence.
